About Me

Hi! I’m Rowen Slepian, a first-year MFA student at Chatham University. My primary professional focus is in contemporary fiction, but I am also skilled in copywriting, journalistic writing, literary analysis, memoir, and a number of fiction subgenres such as sci-fi, fantasy, and magical realism. As an undergraduate, I served as the president of the University of Pittsburgh’s Sigma Tau Delta chapter, where I cultivated a passion for English literature, writing, and composition through the organization of academic and social events, ultimately towards attending and speaking at the Sigma Tau Delta Annual International Convention. Additionally, I worked in Pitt’s Writing Center as a peer tutor, where I edited student work, ranging from first-year compositions to graduate theses, in all stages of the writing process from brainstorming to proofreading. In my free time I love to read, watch movies and play video games.
